hello

I’m a former English teacher turned journalist who cares deeply about others and the world around me. I was inspired to speak out about injustice while observing my students lack so many resources in the classroom while others seemed to operate in adundance.

Ever since, I have used the power of the pen and my passion for social justice to guide my work.

I have reported on a popular political youth movement for Rolling Stone, spoken with the DEA about drug trafficking at the U.S.-Mexico border and examined how often ideologically-based crisis pregnancy centers can obfuscate medical care in an already confusing and restrictive reproductive health landscape. I also wrote a series of stories on Arizona’s social equity program, leading to the introduction of a legislative bill that attempted to remove marijuana licenses from big cannabis and return them to their original owners, who were disenfranchised by previous marijuana laws.

I love using my gifts to investigate and report, thereby illuminating the world for others and hopefully, righting wrongs along the way.
